Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

It is in chinese, but the pictures are great, including a cutaway Cayman that I had not previously seen: Click here for Mobile01 Edited by - Orient Express on 09/21/2005 10:54:22 AM

POST 3Original post

Too cool.......where did they get all those nice shots??

POST 4Original post

The more I see the Cayman in RED the more I like it, got less than a week to spec the order, 1st choice was silver now could be red!

POST 5Original post

Look at all those Caymans !! Couldn't they have done us a favor and had one in each color?

Yeah I am a little distressed that this kind of showcasing took place in China (or at least I assume it did since I can't read Chinese) or else if there was done elsewhere why the western trade press has no pictures or mention of it? Seems very odd, but maybe Porsche believes they can up their penetration in the Chinese market, who knows, just glad you found the site and the pics.

These pictures were taken in the province of Tuscana in Italy. The Author was from Taiwan and he thought he had the first review ever published for Taiwan readers. Except for the pictures, there is really nothing new in the article. Natually, the Author was very impressed by the handling of the car but very disappointed that weather was not cooperating. One notable was that he drove for 230km on the second day and did not want to get out of the car!

POST 8Original post

Tuscany? There aren't in houses available in all of Tuscany!!! Thanks for the translation. I wonder why we did not see this mentioned in any other press articles? You would have thought that other members of the press would have published something on this. I know when Excellence, and Pano and other mags got to see the car in Germany they didn't get to drive it, seems as if these press people did get to drive for an extended period of time. Maybe we'll see something soon from other sources, keep a look out!

BTW, if you can respond to the author, please invite him to this site.

POST 10Original post

Who knows? There may be some kind of embargo and the author broke it. Just a guess. He did not mention details of the invitation too. I will mention to him about this web site though.

POST 11Original post

It's very common for press to have to sign non-disclosure agreements on new product launches. Looking at that array of Caymans outside that Villa I would say that was the official 'first drive' motoring journalist launch . Certainly in the UK all trade magazines will release reviews on new car tests within 1 week of each other. I would expect to see first drives in most of the car mags either this month or next. Jack
