POST 3Original post

Love a 996.1 Aero especially in red. Beautiful car.

ya - I'd like to know which exhaust it is specifically. I thought just PSE, but it sounds different.

POST 5Original post

Sounds really good like the muffler delete which I've done 😀

I've been thinking about trying the muffler delete. But since mine is my daily driver, and I have the c**less x-pipe, I'm afraid going muffler-less might be too extreme. I like my Fabspeed Maxflo, but the muffler delete really sounds really good on Youtube.

POST 7Original post

The only issue I had was it got a bit droney at certain rpms, so I added the Car Chemistry baffles and it pretty much eliminated it. Mines a daily driver as well, but I really enjoy the sound a lot more now. I've had my wife cold start it and take it out to see what the neighbors hear, and honestly it isn't bad at all or any louder than a lot of pickups going thru the neighborhood. Not sure what your cat setup would do...

POST 8Original post

Watched last night, loved his enthusiasm for the platform. 996 non-turbo is the perfect balance of power, handling, and fun!

POST 9Original post

Holy fork that car sounds good!! I love my 996 It makes me smile every time I see it and drive it.

POST 10Original post

very nice vid. car sounds great - sounds like a fister exhaust (or similar mod) to me. m

POST 11Original post

We're going to be the cool kids on the block soon. I have a feeling the 996's popularity is on the cusp of an explosion.

POST 12Original post

Fun to see our cars complimented rather than criticized. I though his car sounded like factory sports exhaust.

Did the baffles make the muffler deletes noticeably quieter? Also, do you notice a loss of low end torque with the baffled deletes? +1

POST 14Original post

Very nice, thanks for sharing, always enjoyed watching other 996 w/ factory aerokit, Car looks great and yes, sounds even better. Would also love to know what kind of exhaust he has because I thought bypass is louder and has deeper growl than that, hmmm, anyway I am sure we will find out sooner than later with the internet exposure. Cheers,

[QUOTE=DreamCarrera;16607677]Did the baffles make the muffler deletes noticeably quieter? Also, do you notice a loss of low end torque with the baffled deletes? Probably 10-15 Db quieter. Haven't really noticed any low end torque loss, although I sometimes wonder(primarily because I drive it every day and I'm so used to the acceleration that it might just be in my head). Seems like people go both directions on this topic.

I was initially anxious for some noise after first bringing mine home and did muffler delete, but it was just way too much IMO. Decided to go with the Billy Boat muffler set and really couldn't be happier. Makes a great sound that makes the flat 6 really purr. Great video OP. Agreed with others, it's always nice seeing the 996 see some enthusiasm!

POST 18Original post

Good video enjoyed his positive comment regarding fried egg headlights, I too always liked them too glad I am not alone 😁👍 Rich

I agree. I like the headlights and amber turn signals front and rear on my early '99. I'll keep the body and interior bone stock as long as I own it. Look to the 5.0 Mustangs which most were modded one way or another. It was common, because the cars themselves were common. Now the original survivors are the ones most sought after. It is that way with most cars that have some age to them, 20-25 years and more.

POST 20Original post

Magnus knows how to pick them, that's for sure. Gorgeous 996.

POST 21Original post

Sorry for reviving this thread, but has anyone determined this exhaust combo or setup? I’ve been sifting through various videos trying to find one that’s not too raspy. This one is by far the best sounding 3.4 I’ve heard.

POST 22Original post

I was wondering the same thing -- it sounds delicious. Pretty happy with the Dansk mild sport exhaust on my 3.4 though, maybe you will like it too.
