Hi all, I recently purchased an 03' 996, which came from the factory with the Hi-Fi soud option, option sticker under lid states 490. The car came from the previous owner with the CDR23 head unit and an aftermarket amp set up, a JL AUDIO 300/4 four-channel full-range amplifier (link to owners manual here: https://content.abt.com/documents/69...4jl_OwnMan.pdf ) . There also seems to be some sort of MB Quartz components to the side of the amp installed, presumably for the speakers (sorry I am not an audio guy whatsoever) (see pictures attached). I just dropped off my car at my local Porshe dealer to install the PCCM + which I sourced from suncoast. When I purchased the PCCM plust from suncoast, the site asked me to select whether I had the bose system installed, which I indicated no per my reading of the 490 option. The dealer has indicated that there might be an output audio issue because of the new amp installed by the previous owner, but they would have to confirm after dissasembly, which they are starting now..... My question is, does anyone know if the JL audio amp will have issues installing to the PCCM Plus? If there are issues, is there any sort of adapter, cables that I can source to help out the install? I did a search and could not find antthing directly on point, but did find this thread on pelican parts that may be applicable, which states that there is a possibility of them using the Adaptor cable Blaupunkt (optional) Part Number 91164550901 that comes with the PCCM plus system.... thread here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...amplifier.html cable here https://www.maxxcount.de/endstufen-v...-mini-iso.html Thanks in advance Sam

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You need to do research, if the guy doing the install isn't a stereo guy, he shouldn't be doing the install. I think you'll need some trial and error before you get it right. You should bring it to a stereo shop. Best of luck.
