Basically, when the car is in say 1st gear with a little strain and I depress the clutch pedal, I hear a clunk. Or if I am driving a little spirited and I let out the clutch fast through the gears I feel lash and a clunk. Is this Normal for this car? It is a manual with Sports Chrono. However, If I drive the car like grandma, even if I wind the gears up to 4000 and let the clutch out smoothly I never feel or hear it. Should I have this looked at?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anybody there???
Mine doesn't do that (at least I think from your description).
I've heard something like this a couple times when changing up gears. It's not the car,it's me. Incorrect coordination of clutch & gas. Too little gas,RPM's falling when they should be rising.
I hear it too; slowing in 1st gear (while in the parking lot) and depressing the clutch to put the trans in neutral. It doesn't happen all the time; haven't figured out why. Suspect it could have something to do with the dual mass flywheel.
Mine does this. Thought it might be from some poor shifting on the track (nothing drastic, just a little stress). Keep the thread alive until you get a real technical answer: I am curious. I decided to deal with it by increasing my AAA service to platinum.
Hey Deuce - that sounds a little familiar to what I've experienced - not a major thing and not getting worse - its just there the odd time. Maybe we need to drive harder!
