Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

HI, I hope someone can help... I have PCM with BOSE . Hence I can play MP3 and WMA cds. I can burn WMA files onto a CD, and have the folders for albums and track names work lovely. BUT when trying to play the music I keep on getting 'reading disc' error and it skips tracks. It sounds just like it would with a dirty/scratch CD. But the CDs are brand new, and of a good quality. My music is recorded in variable bit-rate WMA via MS Media Player. Has anyone else had this problem? Or is my in-dash CD player knackered??

POST 2Original post

I burn my CD's via iTunes, placing the files in a Playlist folder and sorting them by the Album tab. It works great. I suggest try a iTunes. If you do a search, I believe this topic was discussed in detail earlier.

POST 3Original post

Err... No F1. I dont' think you read my question fully. I can burn the CDs fine. The folders and tracks are fine. The PCM seems to have intermittent issues with reading the files. I think it might be down to the bit rate on the loss-less WMA format I use. The music plays for a while, then skips, then plays then skips, then gives up and moves to the next track. I will never touch itunes. It is the devil incarnate. But that is a different story. So, anythoughts on variable bit rate WMA and PCM issues?
