Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

A year or so back, I asked Gert Carnewal for recommendations and he suggested 981S tips for my base Cayman . That’s what I went with and really like the look (and price and flow). GL.
When I was talking to Gert about buying my Carnewal GT exhaust , I mentioned that I had been looking at the Soul X-Pipe with tips. This was his reply: As far as I know, the only tips Gert sells are Porsche OEM tips. For the 987 and 981, he offers the double T tips from the 981S, as he recommended to Shawn. Since I have an S, I just reused my original tips and I love the sound.
Does anyone know if the 987 and 981 (maybe even 718 ) tips are interchangeable? The pictures of the connections and length to the bumper look identical, but maybe there is an angle difference not noticeable in pictures.
I believe the 987 and 981 tips are the same, and I think Porsche probably carried them over to the 718 , but I'm not sure.
@Kevin CS I keep hearing things like this about aftermarket parts. I think Porsches are so well sorted from the factory that in reality many aftermarket parts are only offering visual improvements - which itself is objective.
