Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

new to this forum, so hello all! Just wandered if anyone can tell me whether if I buy the airbag disable kit for my car (996 C2 cab) do I need a porsche childseat to make it work? I currently have a porsche seat in the rear but want to move my daughter to the front and will need a new seat for her... any advice greatfully received. many thanks

POST 2Original post

I think Poon has been round this loop recently.

POST 3Original post

You need a seatbelt-type buckle end bit to go into it (which is attached to a Porsche child seat) to disable the airbag. It looks a bit smaller than a standard seatbelt, but I may be wrong. Either way, I'm sure they can be obtained from somewhere. Try SBS nr Slough. http://www.quickfitsbs.co.uk/ Welcome BTW, nice car- love the colour coded wheels.

thanks guys, I will give them a try!

I am really starting to like that colour. There is a 997 Targa 4S about to come on the market and I am getting tempted, no way will Sally be silver when she reincarnates.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sean are you saying a Zanzibar 997 Targa exists?? Didn't think there were any 997's in Zanz! would look fabulous!! I have G in a few weeks to really make the car look good, picys will follow! all the best
