I have seen production figures for 993 and 997 and 996 GT3 posted in various threads here and on the old site, but never figures for the 996 carrera 2 and 4 incarnations , cab and coupe - anyone? Now the 997 has reached 100,000 wondering how exclusive ours are!
No idea, but would be interested to know the answer.
I'm sure i read a figure of 160000 996's produced.
I take that 160k globally? Funny sales pitch the guy at Porsche gave me. "70% of all Porsches ever produced are still on the road" Me. "How many were made in the last 10 years as a percentage of all made?" Him.....broke out in a swaet. Anyway, didn't matter as I have always loved 911's and for me 996 were beautiful and I wanted one.
