How loud do you think my Cayman S would be if I did complete muffler bypass pipes, but left the rest alone. Just straight piping instead of mufflers. Do you think it would be too loud?? I am in FLA, and we have no emissions. I have a fabricator and I could get this done in a day or two. Also, how do you think it would affect HP?!? TIA Harris

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

My guess is, based upon my experience with my custom exhaust, that it would be loud, very loud, particularly when you are on the gas and below 3000 RPMs. You could try adding a small crossover between the bends/tips like I did which yielded a dramatic reduction in noise without reducing perceived power/torque.
