Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi guys, Well I just had Tony install the harness on my car yesterday. I must say the quality is awesome! Thanks to Mooty for putting me in touch with Tony. The install took less then 20 minutes! All I need now are the racing belts. Here is the link to the site with pics of my car. Thanks again Tony! http://www.tcdesignfab.com/cayman_harness.html <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="500" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td><span class="content-product-header">Porsche Cayman Harness Bar [/quote]</td> </tr> <tr> <td></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="content-product-text" valign="top" align="left"> A new TCD product! Made from 4130 Cromoly tubing and solid, this bar lets the Cayman owner safely and easily mount their shoulder straps of a racing harness. Machined in house on our HAAS CNC lathe the end pieces bolt onto the stock shoulder mounting location of the factory harness. We include new plastic top peices that are pre-cut making the instalation easy. $499 </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

only problem I see with this bar is that it is only supported in 2 places, unlike the farnbacher bar which is supported by the firewall.

We looked into using the mounts where the grab handle is located as well, until we actually saw what is underneath the interior panels. The grab handle is bolted into two nutserts that are compressed into 20g sheet metal. They might be able to support a few g's at most , given theweight of theaverage driver before they tore out of their mounting holes. -tony
