Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

this poll thing is cool!....please vote...what do you think...should i stick with the silver wheels or get them painted black? If you want to know what your cayman would look like with these wheels, let me know and i can photoshop it for you...only takes a sec.

POST 2Original post

Have you considered painting the lip of the wheelas well? I think that would complete the look and would look quite nice on your Cayman. The red calipers would really be highlighted too.

POST 3Original post

yes please do one for seal grey! Also lip included. THX!

POST 4Original post

I was ready to say no, but I liked that picture you posted. Rudy

POST 5Original post

RedRocket- Looks great!!! Could you post a pic of an artic silver with lips painted?

POST 6Original post

The black looks pretty sweet. Consider painting the rim red?

POST 7Original post

Ohhhh! And maybe work the black in thewheel vents. That looks good!

POST 11Original post

I like the Stock better than the black. But I have to say, boy do I love the Cayman in Red. I never like red, but this Car, WOW. -Aaron

POST 12Original post

RR - black is cool, but those aren't the wheels for it. Perhaps the rims need to be black also? ==RedEye

POST 13Original post

RedRocket you're talking about your 20" RH wheels right, not the 18" Cayman standard wheels? I think you're wheels would look really good with the spokes and hub in black and the studs left in silver. Edited by - DaveC on 05/06/2006 7:14:55 PM

POST 14Original post

actually...originally this was when i was gonna stick with the stock 18's. well, i got the 20's on and there aint no way im paintin them black.... i may paint the 18's this fall if i decide to put them back on the car for the winter...even though winters here are pretty mild.

POST 15Original post

Black wheels would look great with black hub caps with the gold crest inlaid.

POST 16Original post

I was going to say not to paint them but after seeing the pictures.... black would look really good. Especially if you painted the lip black too. Shane

POST 17Original post

It's probably not a good idea to paint the spokes of the 18" because the ends of the spokes are actually beyond rim and can easily get scratched. When Porsche paints the 18" Cayman wheels in exterior color they leave the spoke silver and paint the interior and hub only. I have seen the 18" 3-piece Cup and 3.6 Turbo wheels with the centers only painted and they were sharp. The original Boxster prototype had such wheels.

POST 18Original post

I would only paint them - and they would look great in black - if you kept your keys well away from your wife/girlfriend/daughter.

POST 19Original post

Definitely black! Red cars with black wheels look great, very performance-driven and business like IMHO.
