Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Every time I lower the passenger window, it squeaks loudly. Anyone have a recommendation for lubricating it and where it's best applied? I guess it's some type of grease along the rubber?

POST 2Original post

Tim - how many problems have you had with your car?

POST 3Original post

Mine does the same from time to time but not bothered to get it seen to yet

POST 4Original post

Hi, Both my driver and passenger windows do this, put some Swiss%%% window cleaner on and problem resolves for some time. Just the rubber seals drying and dragging on the glass. Alan

POST 5Original post

slightly related, i used the zymol seal replenisher the other day having seen a gap of around 2-3 mm open up between the front and rear windows (cab). The difference is amazing, the gap has closed up and the seals are now flush with the window. I used it all over the car and some of the (assumed normal) wind noises have reduced or gone all together). Tim, this might solve your squeaky window well worth the £15 i paid (thanks So Poo for the link around 3 weeks ago )

Far too many it seems! Although most of them seem to stem from the day I took the hardtop off. Yes, my fault, because the next day it started raining and hasn't stopped since. Not just normal rain but enough to make me think I should be building a boat, or at least not flying the plane back when I get to somewhere sunny and warm.... Really one leak has caused a whole host of problems. Is that link still around?
