Have booked my CS in Bolton OPC for the standard 'fix the rear rattle' procedure on Monday (Jack I mentioned to them it might be the same as yours, 3rd brake light) and replacement of my drivers side Exhaust heat shield (which somehow fell off at the last meet ) and whilst on to the service guy i asked him his thoughts on the poor Telephone mic pickup (Tess mentioned the same and i had read on another forum 997 owners had aswell). anyway he said that there is a recall/fix due Feb 2007 for this and would find out the details, anybody have any more info?
