Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone, I’m experiencing an odd issue with my analogue Speedo (frequent) and my fuel gauge (occasionally). Analogue Speedo is massively over reading and often is stuck showing speed when stationary. Fuel gauge also suggested I have a 200ltr tank. Can anyone offer any thoughts on the cause? I have just had the engine out to replace air con pipe, IMS, clutch etc - could it be linked? It’s been fine up to then. Pictures attached. Many thanks. Alan.

POST 2Original post

that is freaky !! has you car been smoking .... since it's both, worth getting a PIWIS system test to identify an system issue faulty cluster ?

POST 3Original post

I am currently having the same issue with my fuel gauge, but I haven't investigated it yet.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It’s certainly an interesting one. I may be having someone take a look today as I’m working near a classic car garage, I’ll post any updates I get on what it may be.

Maybe an earth wire problem for multiple gauges to go funny.
