Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it possible to obtain a replacement VIL for the underside of the luggage compartment? Mine has completely faded. Thanks

POST 2Original post

You can order one via your OPC but they are very expensive, a few hundred quid! If I were you I'd leave it as is. They do deteriorate. If you're determined to replace it, why not copy the one in your service book (if you have it)?

POST 3Original post

A few hundred quid just for a sticker? Is that the most overpriced porsche part available?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks, believe it or not the service book is a replacement so there is no sticker in it!

POST 6Original post

Can you make out the data on your original VIL? Had a search on Ebay and some enterprising character is selling them there. You'd need to supply the info. Here you go: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-911-993-996-944-924-Boxster-3-2-Carrera-VIN-Bonnet-Hood-Sticker-Label-/261723109429?
