Hi. I've been looking at getting a 996, my first Porsche. There's one I'm considering, however a really annoying thing is the lever to adjust the steering wheel reach is jammed and the reach can't be adjusted. It was picked up on an inspection; is this a common thing? Is it just a case of squirting a load of WD40 down the shaft to get it to free up? Thanks in advance.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
