Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There seems to be plenty of views on which Sports Exhausts to fit to a 996 but not that many specifically relate to the 996tt.... I know to a degree its about personal preference, sound, noise, performance, etc but would be interested to receive feedback from owners who have upgraded from standard system, ideally want to improve sound, (for a supercar its a bit tame...until you get to about 6000rpm...) also would be good to reduce turbo lag.... oh yeah and will it affect warranty??? Look forward to hearing views....

POST 2Original post

Don't know too much about this except that a sports exhaust wasn't available as an option on the 996TT so you can rule out retro-fitting one at your local OPC. I am sure someone will be along shortly to assist you though. Sorry I can't. ~ Maxie

POST 3Original post

Take a look at this link http://www.fabspeed.com/996TT_X50_GT2.html With $£ rate good value especially if you take a risk and buy direct.. In UK I think design 911 sell Fabspeed, Dansk and DesignTek. http://www.design911.co.uk Good luck

POST 4Original post

Also consider Tubi- speak to Scuderia Systems in Egham- lovely blokes- will probably offer you a one month free trial to see if you get on with it. Cargraphic seem well regarded too. As for the warranty, best speak to the OPC warranty lot to double check.

POST 5Original post

The Tubi pipes are highly regarded but quite pricey at around £2.5k. Cargraphic ones also are well thought of. Be careful with some though, Miltek IIRC, as these are very boomy at normal motorway speeds (80mph ish). If you are going down the new zorst route I would suggest you do it with a remap at the same time. Parr can take a standard 420hp tt to over 500. This little tweak along with new divertor valves and a Cargraphic system will cost you £4.3k. Personally I have toyed with the idea of tweaking the car and putting a loud pipe system on it. However after talks with the OPC (off the record) I was told that the warranty people will do anything they can to get out of paying for a car that was been modded (including just a non standard zorst).
