Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone found a reliable solution for allowing steering wheel controls and dash display from a aftermarket head unit? 2012 non- Bose car. Looking for a decent but not too expensive solution with radio and a Android Auto .

POST 2Original post

Do you have the PCM3.0? Not sure if that is Bose only, but I installed the Isudar daughter board/PCB in my ( Bose equipped) PCM3.0 and have been quite happy with the native integration and full support of Porsche features. While it has a couple little quirks, I am 95% happy with it and glad I went that direction. Not helpful if you don’t have that head unit in your car, though.

POST 3Original post

Does your aftermarket head unit know CanBus? You can program the buttons on some headunits - the Heregoes Chinese one offers that capability., but it has a CanBus module that can catch instructions from the buttons as they fly past on the internal network. Without that capability - ain't gonna happen.
