Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can't decide whether I should put my hardtop on HD1 this year......have done both other years and obv more insulated so less cold and has much more sound deadening. But there are those odd days in the winter when the sun's out and I wish I could put the roof down......plus of course any pax laps at Brands would have to be roof up, which is no good for embarrassing people! Expect I'll put it on but you never know......

POST 2Original post

heck no, especially with this late Indian Summer, wait at least till the clocks change in Late Oct

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ah, I didn't mean out it on now......will definitely wait until mi-late October but was wondering whether to put it on at all!

POST 4Original post

Scott, I think you should for the following reasons: 1) you might want to do a trip out one day and find the weather turns bad. Not matter how good they way the rag top is the hard top handles low temperatures better. 2) If you have it on at brands you will have a heavier but stiffer car so you can have more fun. 3) A 996 cab with the hard top on in a certain light and from a certain angle looks like a Gayman and that has to be better than the cab

POST 5Original post

Over the winter for sure as that Fabric Top will get a pounding from the weather. regards

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mmm, whilst I can agree with some of the above - a 911 looking like a Gayman better than a cab  An outrageous accusation - my car is a proper 911 through and thru - you lot are just jealous of my cab  bcos it is soooooooooooooooooooooooo 8)

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's a 2 person job but only takes about 5 mins.....it's the 2 person bit that 's the problem.

POST 9Original post

Wait til december Scott - I would have it on from then until the start of march though.
