Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, Is it normal when cruising in auto mode at 60 mph (100km/h) that when you depress the accelerator to near the floor that the car shifts down from 5th to 3rd gear? It didnt seem right that at this speed it should do this as at about 110km/h your near the max rev range in 3rd gear. After a second or two it auto shifts to 4th where the car starts pulling away rapidly. Is this a by design or a possible fault?

POST 2Original post

Hi, I am on my third tip and must say that these boxes do have their quirky behavioural things. Yes, this is not uncommon. To overcome this if you this annoys you is to kick the pedal twice or keep it to the floor.........learn to love it and work the oddness of 911 tips.....
