Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Motor Trend November 2005 says: 'Porsche claims the Cayman S will lap the North circuit of the Nurburgring in 8 minutes, 20 seconds...We've heard, but can't substantiate, the opposite; that in fact the Cayman is actually a few seconds quicker than a base 911.' In the same issue, Porsche NA's own advertisement says: 'lap times on the Nurburgring that made engineers blush.' Walter Ruhl said: Iremember a funny thing (with the Cayman development). We were at Nurburgring, it was my first lap and I did 8 minutes, 11 seconds - my first lap! So, you wonder, what were some of the other lap times that Walter got in the Cayman S and with what setup and what did the engineers do to slow the Cayman S down before it went into production? Further, what could we do, short ofplacing an orderfor the RS, to get the setup that made the Cayman engineers blush?
