Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I live in Japan and the LHD version is predominant here, despite the country being a RHD market. I continue to hear from people here that the footwell on the RH side is narrower. Supposedly, the right wheel-well extends a bit inward, requiring Porsche to slide to the left all three pedals. The dealer's description is that there is less room than theLHD configuration. I was hoping that some of our members in the UK might be able to shed some light on this and offer some advice on potential after market modifications. C5

POST 2Original post

Hello, Mine is RHD in England, and having driven both, you are right there is less space, however it is not the wheel well that protrudes into the space more, but the Transmission Tunnel, which has space for the Bose Stereo, is wider so to put your foot on the dead pedal to rest your foot, you have to bend your leg around a corner and your whole leg has to rest against the Transmission Tunnel. Driving on the Left Hand Side of the car, the Dead Pedal, is on the Wheel arch, so leaves more room for the other pedals On a Right Hand Drive Car, The Accellerator pedal cannot be put over the wheel arch but has to sit to the left, the pedals are closer together, but not uncomfortably so, it does give easier toeing and heeling with the brake and accellerator. No Modifications needed, just accurate footwork, but as the pedals are closer together, faster between pedals!
