Has anyone tried the eps oil feed unit? Vertex also carries it . It looks simple enough in the video , and in theory should work well. Does anyone have any real world expirience with it ? Any oil starvation issues or reduced pressure on the gage ? http://europeanpartssolution.com/products/ims-oil-feed/ http://www.design911.co.uk/uploads/p...ed-Mod-Kit.pdf

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So no one has tried it then? I've read most of the ims stuff on here but didn't find anything on this product.
It's been covered by others and also by Jake from before. Issues raised: - unfiltered oil - the slotted hex drive key for the oil pump weakens the already weak stock hex drive key - the IMS where they punch the hole is very thin - pressurizing the IMS will risk sprockets slipping as they are only pressure fit (hence LN pins the sprockets on the shaft) - ball bearings are not designed for so much forced oil lubrication (too much lubrication) There may be more. The above are just on top of my head.
Thanks, much appreciated , just the sort of information I was looking for . I've got the l&n bearing now with not much milage on it , my plan was to go with the solution when it comes time to swap out the l&n bearing at the reccomended milage . I think I'll stick with that plan unless gen 2 997s come down in price by then to my pocket depth . That said , I absolutely love my 996 .
