Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone here tried to install an aftermarket stereo in a 2007 Cayman (NonS). I want to put a navigation/Dvd screen in mine. They have a ton of units out there just wondering if anyone here has done that yet and just how easy it might be. Is there a mounting kit for one? Navigation and a lil more power and I might have the perfect car. Black/Black interior 18" wheels Xenon Auto Climate control Peferred Package Plus Wish I would have gotten Bose sound but the car that I found that had everything else did'nt have so I thought I'll just upgrade the unit maybe put an amp and some better speakers. I know that I should be happy with the sound of the engine only but the Cayman base pipes just aren't that loud. Thought about putting a bluetooth unit in also. This is my everyday car want it to be as comfortable as a Porsche can be. I also own a 335i coupe kinda use to the comfort of that just want my new baby to be as nice as my wife's NEW car.

Take a look in Cayman Electronics forum here for some ideas.

POST 3Original post

Yeah I remember this has been discussed extensively before. I think one of the early conclusions was that it would be a lot easier to upgrade a non-Bose system, while it would be nearly impossible to upgrade one with Bose. So I guess you'll be okay, jeffgivens.

Thanks. I've been looking for some pics to see what others have done. I can't find anything yet.
