Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has nyone installed a third party fixed satnav? Can you tell me where you located the aerial? Cheers Ray 2004 C4S

POST 2Original post

Hi Ray, There's a standard factory location already on the dash, it's where the flashing LED is (dead centre of the dash), if you prise this off you can mount a standard antenna under it. Damian

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cheers Damian and thanks for the picture - do you have a picture with the aerial installed? Ray

POST 4Original post

Don't prise off the alarm cover or you will break the small tabs - just squeeze the sides together and it pops off. The antenna then just drops into place.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, are you saying that the cover just gets placed back on top? cheers Ray

POST 6Original post

Yep (after you have spent an hour fishing for the cable under the dash)

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Mark, what route does the cable take from ythe metal pad?? Ray
