does anyone know where to find a dash kit that matches the color of the interior for a tv/nav upgrade.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The interior color is called Volcano Grey, the only person I know in the U.S. with parts in that color is our sponsor BumperPlugs.com, Call Eric there, tell him you saw it here!
Lakers, you're going to have to make one yourself. As far as I've learned from eric@bumperplugs via email and other forums, volcano grey paint is completely unavailable. You can get close with duplicolors metallic\texture paints though, as you can find some pictures of it posted in a stereo thread by jneg where he had a dash kit fabricated for his new head unit. There are other pictures floating around of dash bezels made, and I contacted one installer to see if he would fabricate and sell the one he made for the avic-Z1 as it's the best color match I've seen (see pic below). I plan on just finding an installer around here and having them make me one, and actually using bondo\tube plastic and sanding it so the D3 looks integrated flush into the kit and not on with a trim ring (looks too aftermarket IMHO). I'd do it myself, but I've never done it before and it would probably look like crap I will do the rest of the install myself though, mostly with the fear that the installers would cut a fiber optic line like they did to obiwan's car, ugh! - SS
Ken are you sure he has volcano grey??? I might have to re-email him, I did it a couple of months ago. I know he had galvano and alumalook.
I gave him the color match for it so he "should" have it now...
Oh man that is great news!!! Thanks.
Thanks K-man
