Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Can you use one of those portable battery jump start devices to connect to the drivers side panel to activate the boot open to get to the battery?

Yup - that's how you do it... if you do a search on "dead battery" (without the quotes) or something like it, you'll find this has been discussed a lot on the CC, and there's numerous other ways and workarounds that accomplish the same thing. I remember there being a very long thread where the owner couldn't get the key out of the ignition - that's one you ought to read. brad
