Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Could someone tell me how on a CDR-22 radio you can disable the traffic alerts. When I am listing to a CD it is constantly (every couple of minutes ) being interrupted by traffic alerts. As a temporary fix I hit the TP button and it goes back to CD. But how can I prevent the traffic alerts permenantly. Keep on meaning to try to look out the radio guide when I am at home but keep on forgetting!! Thanks

POST 2Original post

Hopefully this is the same as the CDR-23. Pressing TP silences the TA, pressing it again turns TA off, pressing once more mutes the stereo but allows TA to come through.

POST 3Original post

I happen to have my manual with me... "If traffic announcements not desired, the TP button must be pressed until the abreviation T appears (in the display")

POST 4Original post

Great, I'm off to do that very thing! that has been irritating me during my 24hrs of 996 ownership.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all, yes held down the TP button for a couple of seconds and there was an electronic bip and the TP changed to just a T in the display on the far right. No traffic reports on the drive to work - just uninterrupted Donald Fagan Morph the Cat - feeling very chilled - not even the countless BMW drivers trying to barge me off the road could irritate me now
