Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Thought I'd share a great moment I had this weekend with my grandson(gs) and his best friend at my grandson's 10th birthday. These kids are car crazy. They play video games that list the top performance characteristics of all the latest sports cars and can quote top speed and 1/4 mile times with the best of us. They know Porsches too and understand that the Cayman S is special. As I arrived at my gs's househe and his best friendran out as the heard the car pulling up. Of course I had to give them a ride. First the friend. Took him out for a brisk ride, pulled a couple of G's as we like to call them around a few corners and ran it up a bit through the first few gears. Then I had to take my gs out for the same route only he insisted on 'more' so of course he could have bragging rights. Nothing crazy mind you. The look on these kids faces were priceless. They were in awe of the Cayman and were absolutely beaming throughout the ride. I had their favorite CD ready to play ( Black eyed Peas) after we were done with the spirited driving and turned it up extra loud on the slow cruise back home. They were in heaven! They insisted that I take a picture of the two of them at the rear of the car, framing and pointing as if introducing the Cayman S logo on the rear. It reminded me of my first ride in a sports car, actually astronaut Gus Grissom's 427 convertible Corvette that was purchased by a friend of my dads who worked at the space center. To this day I have never forgotten that ride. It was my introduction to a passion that has never waned. It was nice to pass onsomething special.I think I left them with an experience to remember. What a great day! Does anyone else remember their first 'experience' with 'Cars'?

my aunt who was in her early twenties took me for a ride in her red 1971 big block corvette stingray. i just remember her betting me i couldnt touch the dash after she stomped on the gas...she was right, that car tossed me back into my seat so fast my head spin. after that i knew someday it would have to be red, and have to be fast. i was 6 or 7....29 years later im living the dream. her husband and kids came over to visit about a month ago and drooled all over the cayman...what a feeling! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/tounge_smile.gif
