Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I always seem to be struggling with the most simplest jobs. Trying to change out my side skirt trims and all of my 21 year old tapping screws by the wheel arch liners front and back are rusted with malformed torx heads. One of the screw heads snapped off so easily, they all seem soft. They all seem to be held on by speed nuts nut I'm not sure. I cannot get these out at all. The ones on the underside of the car are fine. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried easy outs and they just spin in the torx head.
