Evening everyone. Just been out to the car to fit the inert I picked up from the dealer Saturday only to find it doesn't fit I gave the parts guy my reg (it's an 03' turbo) and he gave me part number 996 722 101 00 I've attached a pic so hopefully you can see. Is it supposed to fit completely down inside the space saver? There is a lot protruding from the top. So much so it's impossible to get the false floor to fit. I'll admit it a trivial problem but am I fitting it incorrectly or is it the wrong part? Cheers

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After digging a little more and calling Porsche I've found out that the 996.2 turbo didn't have a foam insert. Just a bag that sits inside the wheel. This part is apparently for the wheel that sits upright not on the floor. Although I'm convinced it's for a 997 with larger wheels. I may try modifying it to fit or just stick it up for sale.
My 2004 996T only had the bag. 997s didn't have space-saver wheels, only a bottle of goop.
Time to get out the Stanley knife !
