Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

What is the process to buy a gt3rs or gt2rs? What is the wait time to get an allocation? Do we have to pay more than msrp to the dealer? If yes, how much?

POST 2Original post

It's late in the game for the current gen (991.2) cars. I have heard of flipper asking prices above 500k for the 2RS. You can call around to dealers but certain there will be a large premium if you can find an allocation at all. There are some buying at MSRP but those will be well known customers of the selling dealer. Or 918 VIP program buyers. Your best bet would be a 2016 3RS. Have not kept up with the market but believe asking prices are still above original msrp for low mile cars. I think the 15 GT3s are coming down. They have a known engine weakness but Porsche has warrantied the engines for 10 yr/ 120k miles to address the issue. Best of luck

POST 3Original post

If I have to buy at msrp from a dealer, then how many years should I wait?

POST 4Original post

When might the 992 GT3 and the 992 GT3RS be available?

POST 5Original post

My best guess is the earliest we will see 992 GT3 is model year 2020, and for RS 2022. Only Porsche know. No downside to trying to place a deposit IMO. Good luck.

POST 7Original post

So as mentioned on the other thread, you have a deposit for it, not ordered. I think that is the way to go in order to have a mere chance to get one of these. As It stands right now for me, I have deposits for the Spyder (hopefully NA engine) and the next GT3. As you mentioned, hopefully they will have an awesome engine as the one in the current iteration.

POST 8Original post

As others have already mentioned, it will be difficult to grab one now but they are out there. In many (or most) cases, you'll have to pay a premium. I don't agree with that but such is the world we live in! Be sure to expand your search nationwide, don't just limit it to your region. If you really want one, you'll find it that way.
