Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

options When I bought mine from the OPC they didn't disclose how much the options were. Difficult to put a value, its been said that having the options doesn't increase the value of the car, just helps it sell quicker come selling time. I'ld say benchmark it to a new car and lower it by 5% as a rough estimate. And if you do get a car, make sure it has the switchable sports exhaust (really the only must have option), otherwise like me you wont be able to sleep kicking yourself you didn't get initially.
A lot of people say that PCM (sat nav/phone) is a must have, but they are TBH, crap. Bose sounds/CD changer are important as are PSM (if it's a face lifted car) and park assist.
I found that Tip models hold their value for the same price as the option for the 2001-2003 996 models. Some options are must have and do indeed determine the price that can be demanded. Again IMO phone/sat nav is a "nice to have" but wasn't "must have" when looking. besides, the PCM 2 is not the best system for navigating around... nor the easiest... (I still cant work out how to tell it to divert off motorway or route for x miles etc...
Hi, If you list out the options, I will tell you how much they cost originally. I've still got the paper price list, so will have to do it manually.
Can't remember list price of tip but a 996 C2 in 2002 was around £56000. I bought a C2 with sports seats, sports exhaust, sports suspension and maybe a couple of other bits and pieces for £58000 OTR in Sept 02. Sold it 3 yrs later for £38000
I'm not sure we've read the question- he's looking for the list price per the brochure of the options... I have a 2001 brochure- list the spec you're after and I'll list the prices.
