Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

ChatGPT tells me this was built the last month of production of the 987.2 . It has an odd collection of parts like ventilated seats, six speed, 18" wheels on a Base. Possibly someone was using all the old parts before the 981 line started up? So, of course now I have to know. Does anybody here have this knowledge?

POST 2Original post

Not to burst the bubble but I doubt chatgpt knows

https://********.com/forums/vindecoder.php?vin=WP0CA2A81CS710348 I wasn't able to find much more info than a basic VIN decoder provides. No date of manufacture outside the year, 2012, but I figure you already knew that. I believe the 6MT was standard and there was no 5MT available by 2012, but for what it's worth, my base 2012 C also has ventilated/heated seats and 18in wheels. Maybe mine was a similar situation as yours.

POST 5Original post

I did see a date of manufacture field when I was looking in a module on my new Foxwell NT530 scanner; but I couldn’t immediately determine what the number meant and I believe it’s the module’s date, not the cars. But if you have that, it may give you some clues.

06/11 (June of 2011) Hmmm, I need to check mine.

POST 7Original post

Ummm... isn't it on the build label inside the drivers side door jam?

POST 8Original post

The tag says its build date was June 2011 along with the VIN. Production ended in June or July of 2011. The VINs are sequential. So I'm looking to find out what the last VIN for the 987.2 was and to see how close mine is the final number. Thanks

POST 9Original post

The last 4 VIN numbers of my 2012 are 799141 so it appears there a few after yours
