Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi guys Last week I noticed one of my rear control arm balljoints was showing movement. I had the Powerflex branded rear arms that feature a CTE arm and balljoint, with Powerflex bushings pressed in for camber and rear castor Thinking it was just the cheap CTE balljoints I opted to replace them with the Bilstein adjustable (with rebuildable balljoints) items. However it is now 1 week later (and 1200km including some fast Nurburgring laps roadtrip) later and both my rear balljoints are now showing movement!!!! The car is very low on KW Clubsport V3, running just shy of 3 degrees negative camber front and back and 1mm toe in on the rear. Has anyone else had this? Wondering if there is another fault making this worse. It does get driven hard but these arms are permitted in the PCGB championship so I find it hard to believe they’re not built for the job.

Are you exceeding the range of motion of the ball joint? You might put it all together without a spring and see if something is binding.
