Just wondering if we might have enough interested 996 (poss 997) Cabriolet owners in the One Touch SmartTop modification to allow the cabriolet hood ot be operated with 1 touch of the dash button or key.
Configurable options for opening closing the hood whilst moving, only stationary or upto 20Km/h as well as window options on opening the hood. All down, All up including rear etc.
We may be able to negotiate a discount for a group buy.

Resurrecting an ancient post here and I find it strange that there are no SmartTop posts after this date in 2020.
I am comsidering this , is it recommended? Alex (if you read this) did you ever do it?
No I didn't do it. One came up on here 2nd hand but I missed out. So in the end I thought I'd have a go at making my own with the help of an electronics friend of mine. Then deMort (I think) and my friend commented on these things that put a bit of a curveball on it - what happens if you do the one touch op and something obstructs it? Broken roof? Broken person?
But I wasn't defeated and for me I wasn't interested in the one touch gimmick but the ability to put the roof down in motion. Anyway, after reading multiple threads on Boxsters and 996s I resulted in doing this thread and enabling myself to put the roof down in motion. It's by far one of the best mods I've done on my car..........AND IT'S FREE!!!!
