Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, does anyone know where I could find round exhaust tips for a 996.1 C2 (along the lines of a 997 Sport Classic)? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

You could maybe give your local Topgear agent a try? Their exhausts are very popular and I'm aware my local centre provides not just exhausts and boxes but a range of tailpipe conversions with anything from plain round stainless with rolled edges like the SC ones you posted to carbon tips, so I think they would be worth a try.

Adam's old car has round tips. If you read Mark's thread who was the previous owner of that car, it will probably say what tips they are. http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=136217

Thanks very much guys. I'll have a quick look through Mark's thread (I've read it all before, so got to find the time to go through all 31 pages again ). Also, a good shout about Topgear, I'll give them a call. Just surprised that they're not more readily available.

POST 6Original post

Marks C2 had my old Jetex boxes on and had welded on round tips Those boxes were on my car when I bought it and as far as I'm aware the boxes were supplied with the tips and they wouldn't fit any other system, at least not without being welded on if the pipe diameters matched. Like a previous post suggested, I know when the company Powerflow was around (they may still be, I've just not seen them for a while) They used to sell an assortment of tips you could choose from when they made you an exhaust up. Topgear may do the same, definitely worth a try Hope you get sorted mate Craig

Apologies for the late reply - I don't seem to get notifications when there's a response on this forum. Thanks lot Craig, saved me a lot of time trawling through Mark's build thread (as pleasurable as read as that is)! Seems like getting in touch with Top Gear is definitely the way to go. :thumb:

Forgot to add, we share something in common - I've got a 996.1 C2 with a full Hartech rebuild (3.7) as well
