Anyone know if you can bolt up a 997.1 front bumper to a 987.1 Boxster without needing new fenders, etc? It looks similar, but obviously would not want to pull the trigger not knowing. I've found some bumpers online for not too much $$$ and would snatch them up if I knew they'd fit. Cheers! CJ
I think I saw a youtuber or two do it and had an install video. recall there was some fabrication that had to take place. search youtube for "997 bumper on my 987" or something along those lines.
I didn't think that was possible on the 987 generation, unlike the 986 generation.
Yes it's possible and many have done it. You need a 997 bumper, 997 fenders, and 997 headlights ...along with some misc brackets. It's about $3500 in parts not including the bumper. 👍🏻
