I am looking to install a carbon fiber hood to my (mostly) track 07 Cayman S. I consistently hear the same thing. Only buy a Top quality piece. Poor quality or fitment can lead to a nightmare on install. Any info or personal experience is Greatly appreciated.
You going for looks or weight savings? If looks then go for it. If weight, the Cayman hood is already aluminum and I believe CF only saves you about five pounds. So probably far from the most cost-effective weight reduction option.
I’d score on some aluminum R doors…. The oem hood is really light imo
