I know turbo spoilers are a very common issue but most of the threads I can find relate to leaking hydraulics and broken pump rams. I have a slightly different issue... The internal spring has disintegrated so the spoiler doesn't retract fully, anyone had any luck finding a replacement spring?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Did you make any progress with your broken spring? I suspect I have the same problem - spoiler will go up no problem, but only goes down on the right hand side. Left side will go down if you push it manually. There are a couple of options for a full repair, but they're not particularly cheap and involve shipping your rams to the continent. I also believe a member on here managed to refurb his and source springs in the UK, but he was very busy and hasn't posted up a how to yet.
It's not if but when the hydraulics will fail and need overhauling - might be simplest to bite the bullet and get it all done properly if you're intending to keep the car for long.
Alternatively, ditch the hydraulics completely. Either fix the current wing in place, or fit a GT2 or Aerokit wing. :?:
Definitely a cheap fix to just deactivate the mechanism, but just seems a bit of a cop out and you always have that niggle knowing it's not workign properly. Fitting a different wing will cost more than just refurbishing the system.
