Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Put a NA decent sized lump into the Cayman with all that goes with it, would it be the best modern Porsche available and de-throne the mighty 911?

POST 2Original post

Probably, and that's exactly why they won't, mike

Would you be willing to pay 911 money for it? I think the 981 Cayman is a betting looking car than the 991. If it had the 3.8 engine, it would undoubtedly be more popular. But it would also be very much more expensive

POST 6Original post

RUF will do exactly that for you... Gonna be pricey though.

POST 7Original post

Yup, have a look at the RUF 3800S - seems to garner a lot of praise as the best Porsche that Porsche never built....

But it would also be very much more expensive Yep. Porsche is about getting exactly what you pay for. Why is the Cayman GTS barely held behind the 911? Because it's cheaper. Porsche will never let you "get something for nothing". We'll see this with the GT4. It's going to cost more than a base Carrera. It's probably going to cost more than a Carrera S. It may cost more than a Carrera S with the X51 PowerKit. Its performance will be reflected in its price.

POST 9Original post

I'd say we will find out next year... hopefully
