Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I finally left my key turned on, and it drained the battery over night. Key wouldn't come out, and my office key is on that double ring. It took 15 minutes just to get that damn thing off. Called roadside service, and they are coming out after work to reboot. Boy, I'll never let this happen again...

POST 2Original post

A battery tender would have kept you from all of that grief. I don't know how much charging it would have done over night, but the battery would have still been alive the next morning.

POST 3Original post

My next purchase. Although I didn't notice it until I got ready to leave this morning, it would have been charging all day.

POST 4Original post

This may be a dumb question but why would your keys be in the car all night?

POST 5Original post

I did the same thing about 2 weeks ago. As mentioned preciously, it's a mistake you make once. Mine was parked in my garage, and I left the keys in it because I was going to head back out. Plans changed and I left it for two days. Jumped it (after manually maneuvering the car to where I could apply power to open the hood) and it's been fine since.
