Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys , just thought id say hi and a great site you have here  . looking at getting a turbo soon, however im having issues with the bleeding colour choice! :? What the opinion on lapis guys?..is it kind of difficult to sell afterwards? ive noticed that lapis blues seem to be a bit cheaper, is this because its not that nice ? Ive been searching for pics, but cant find many lapis 911 turbo's in the sun....anybody help! I did go to autobhan a few weeks ago and had a chat with a really nice guy, they had a lapis in, non turbo but it was inside the showroom..and i really couldnt tell in the lighting if i liked the colour. anyway, anythoughts would be greatly welcomed! thanks

POST 2Original post

It's a beautiful rich, deep blue! which can swing between blue, to purple to almost black depending on the light conditions. Buy the colour YOU like  LAPISBLAUMETALLIC below

POST 3Original post

I had a Lapis blue boxter once, it looked stunning after a wash and polish with Zymol, but after only one day on the road it looked very dull indeed.

POST 4Original post

Lapis is the best colour, wonderfully deep, so rich and when the sun hits it there's nothing like it. Just be careful about the selection of wax as it can alter the shine quite considerably - not bad but different. My old car

thanks for the replies guys and the pics are great! did anyone have issues went it came to sell it on at all? just cant understand why lapis is a bit cheaper :?

POST 6Original post

No issues, sold to the first person. I wouldn't say they are necessarily cheaper either, certainly rarer than the Arctics, maybe it's the choice of interior that's doing it. Most Lapis seem to have a Graphite interior rather than the traditionally market preferred Metropole (awful ) and Black.

POST 7Original post

One thing I noticed when choosing my car (lapis 996) was that there were so many black and silver 996's around I wanted something different. Lapis really does look stunning, it's a great colour and is kind of modest with it. I didn't find that this colour was cheaper and I shopped around. It's nice to have a less common colour - you won't regret it :bye:

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

seriously ..thanks guys, helping me to put my mind at rest  just came across the pics from 6speed ..and ive fallen in love! these look stunning, ...so umm lapis and savanah a no no?

POST 9Original post

One drawback with Lapis Blue is that it appears to scratch more easily than other colours I know all modern paints are lacquered but the valeters aat my local OPC confirm that when the cars arrive from the factory they are protected with plastic film and its easier to scratch a lapis cra removing it than most other colours The grey interior normally associated with lapis is not everyones favourite, and the last 3 lapis cars I ve had have taken longer to sell than similar cars Midnight Blue is certainly more desirable than lapis And I'd certainly rather have Black than Lapis

POST 10Original post

And we all know that Lapis Blue ones are the fastest !

POST 11Original post

Hi caractere007 Those pics look amazing! Must recheck my piggy bank!

POST 13Original post

There is nothing wrong with Lapis as the shots sent demonstrate. I'm glad you did not go for Arctic or the latest 997 colour of Seal Grey. But in the end as long as you like it, that is the main thing. Personally I like Speed Yellow 8) Regards Big Bob
