Hi Guys Hope some one can give me any ideas on this :worship: I bought a second hand PCM2 to replace a faulty one in a C4 2003 UK spec, when I called de Main Dealer about getting it fitted they asked for the chassis number from the PCM2's donor car which is a salvage car with out VIN numbers removed from insurance company ... Is it true they need that number or is just for security reasons and/or is there any other way around it to get the PCM2 working?? Cheers

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I think they need this to determine the security code. There might be another way of obtaining it, but I don't know.
