Is there a separate part for relocating the climate control to the bottom? By the looks of now before relocating, the current bezel looks to thick. I see one for the 'lower bottom' which is angles at the bottom, but what about the upper? lower angled part 996-552-339-00-01C -OEM Would this be what I need : 9965526770001C

You have your climate control on the lower bottom yes? The bezel you listed ( 9965523390001C) is lower Climate control.

I do have the climate control on the lower part. I do not know which one of those parts is the climate control bracket, but what you are saying makes sense. It's only described as Shelf Satin Black.

Porsche doesn't offer an upper bezel because the upper slot was never designed as a secondary location for the AC control unit. People who thought they could beat the system and shove the AC unit into the upper slot found out the hard way. Quite a few have even forced the AC units into the slot probably breaking the mount in the process. One recently even posted a picture with the lower bezel mounted crooked in the upper position. But it's your car... good luck!

Then that answers my question. There isnt one!

Like I said, it was never designed for it, but people have shoved it into the upper position and reused the original bezel. One recently got it closer than I've ever seen to look normal. (see below) As you can see the bezel is not perfect and some modification had to be done to make it work. Basically, @De Jeeper had to grind down the lower portion of the bezel to get it to fit.

Hi Newbie, Did you get this to go? I am looking at doing the same on mine but can't see how the climate control box would fit in without some serious dremel work. Auto Atlanta shows 2 different bracket parts 9965521150-1-01C and 9965521150-2-01C, wondering if there's a difference. Thanks!

My opinion is 9965521150- 2 -01C is just updated version of the older 9965521150-1-01C part. In most cases, no major changes to the part. As mentioned before, the AC control unit was never designed to go into the upper slot, but with some modifications, it can work. The OEM bezel and bracket were designed for the AC control unit in the lower slot.

POST 13Original post

Thanks ZZ. They look close from the pictures, I was hoping that would be an easier approach. I have a backup bracket inbound from EBay so I don't get stuck if the dremel gets out of control. We'll see how it goes. I love the smell of burning plastic in the morning. Or the evening.
