it’s been a few years, but I’m still in love with my Cayman R. Keeping the R, I bought a Macan S, then a Macan GTS. I then succumbed to a 911 C4S. I love both cars for entirely different reasons. Our club goes on drives once a month. It’s an added enrichment with our cars. Driving windy roads at speed with 20 other idiots having the time of their lives. Over the course of two or so years, my favorite car to drive in these circumstances is the R, bar none. It’s light, fast, very precise and highly dependable. The 911 can act like a heavyweight, or not. Depends on what you ask of it. It’s a comfortable driving car, yes. It can also blow the wheels off of anyone offending it, or I should say me. A few months ago I was on one of our drives and I was the sweep. I got stopped in seconds going 35 up to 65. I pulled over, gave him my paperwork and off he went. He was huge, so he bent down to talk to me. He looked, removed his sunglasses, looked once more and shook my hand.and said, “ you are the last person I expected to see driving this beast.” His shock was my joy. A 75 year old woman laughing at his surprise. These cars keep me young, and at my age I need all the help I can get. Be safe, Mac
