Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Can some kind soul point me to a reference of the Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of the front, side and rear windows as per factory spec on the 987 (or probably equivalently the 997) in North-European spec? There's an ancient post here ( https://www.planet-9.com/threads/wh.../threads/what-color-best-in-hot-climate.12519/page-2?post_id=157282#post-157282 ) from @premier.3973 who states that (unspecified) windows are 83% VLT, which sounds very plausible, but I'd love to see a more official reference. Also on topic, can someone confirm that Tint = 1 - VLT? I frequently read posts and webpages (even from companies applying window tints!) where people mix them up, or treat them as equivalent, or even completely ignore any inverse relationship. i.e. I would common-sense expect that when a window is "30% tinted", that it has 70% VLT, and when "15% tinted" = 85% VLT, etc Cheers!

POST 2Original post

No-one seems to know or care But for future historians, you might be interested to know that I've found this VS70 (a film with high VLT == low tint) works very nicely. The color change and light difference is subtle, like a pair of weak sunglasses, and the IR rejection is excellent. I wouldn't go any darker. VS (Vivid Signature)

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
