Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it going to be a crazy summer? Or is it just wishful thinking? http://www.rpmtechnik.co.uk/sales/stock-list/coming-soon-17k-1-owner-ims-upgrade/ £20k [8|] Dont get me wrong it would be great to see prices rise. Notes on bearing say "RPM bearing" don't think id want to trust that, id sooner change it again for something with a bit more history.[8|][8|][&:]

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

+ the original bearing would have probably out last the one they have replaced it with, as it would have more than likely been a dual row???.[&:]

POST 3Original post

I read that being an IMS upgrade by 'RPM', not 'RPM bearing'. I think they fit one of the recognised upgrades. Paul.

POST 5Original post

It'll be the 17k miles that may command the price, if you're that way inclined. I'm sure its lovely and lots of people equate low miles with good..

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That millage won't warrant £10k

POST 7Original post

It must be one of the lowest mileage pre-facelift cars in the country. Not sure that it has reached the "collectable" status yet, which is the only thing that would justify that price (IMO).

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wonder how long before they start dropping the price? Or how long they will keep it if the price stays the same. They can buy mine for 18k with 57,000 on the clock if they want.

POST 9Original post

Just seen this and seeing as I've got too much time on my hands I've gone onto westealyourcar.com, 996 3.4 1998 62000miles......wait for it......£5250!![8D]

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

[ ] I think RPM Smoka da Pancake on that day.[ ]

POST 13Original post

Sorry I was being sarcy, webuyanycar.com's price on my own car. I'd buy two at that price quoted! Surly the 996 market can't have gone that bad?

POST 14Original post

Thats not taking into account how much they knock off for each stone chip[ ]

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, Just to follow this up, Its now shown as sold. must have been the CDR22 that sealed the deal. [&:]
