Hi everyone, have joined this community to help resolve a problem with an upgrade to the standard CDR24 head unit. Have found out that the CDR24 wiring harness at the rear does not have switched power to the head unit so I have been able to trace an orange wire in the transmission console that now gives me switched power which I can splice in to the "one click" connection harness that I got from Carmedio. The problem I have is that only the mid range speakers are working - the ASK amplifier does not turn on to power the bass speakers (I have the "sound plus" system). I also found that when disconnecting the CDR24 head unit the MOST fibre optic cables have a disrupt, so I have ordered the "RKX MOST fiber optic optical loop" which should solve that problem. Any thoughts on how to trigger the ASK amp (I am installing a Kenwood DMX8520DABS receiver)? This unit has a "power control wire" that can be connected to an external amp.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
