I need a new air mass sensor for my 2000 996 C2. Have been quoted outrageous cost by (New Zealand) OPC, and can buy in US as a Bosch rather than Porsche OEM part for about 1/5th the cost. However there are two options - with and without the e-Gas / M620 electronic accelerator. Does anyone know the difference? From various websites it appears the 996 C4 had e-Gas all along, but the C2 only got it for model yr 2000. My 996 is a US version so I might be asking this question on the wrong forum, if there's a difference between US and other markets!
